Fusing is the process of permanently bonding pieces of sterling silver (can be gold or fine silver) with out the use of silver solder.  This is done with great care and expertise. The metal pieces are heated to the point where the very surface becomes molten, without melting the whole shape. The molten metal on molten metal mixes and fuses to bond them as one piece at their connections.

A Sterling frame was then created and soldered on, as were the 18KY beads. The earrings have sterling posts and backs for attaching.
